Starlink for Land Mobility

Connectivity for vehicles, fleets and field operations

Starlink offers business land-mobility connectivity for authorised in-motion use. E-Cube adds the integration layer around the satellite service: professional installation, routing, security, onboard Wi-Fi, fleet-standard designs, monitoring and managed support.

In-motion availability is market-dependent and subject to local government approval, compatible hardware and the applicable Starlink service plan. E-Cube will confirm current availability before deployment.

Where it fits

Connectivity where mobile operations need it

Starlink identifies emergency services, health, trucking, construction, trains and energy operations among the principal Land Mobility use cases.

ER

Emergency Services

Support coordination and access to operational information in disaster zones and remote response locations.

H

Mobile Health

Connectivity for mobile clinics, outreach teams and field health applications where terrestrial service is limited.

T

Trucking & Logistics

Connectivity for fleet communications, navigation, operations and authorised onboard services while vehicles are on the road.

C

Construction

Project management, data transfer and remote collaboration for construction teams and temporary field locations.

TR

Trains & Passenger Transport

Support operational communications and passenger connectivity requirements on authorised rail deployments.

EN

Energy & Field Services

High-speed connectivity for service vehicles, field crews and temporary sites in remote operating areas.

Built for field resilience

More than a terminal mounted on a vehicle

E-Cube designs the surrounding network so the Starlink link can serve real operational users, applications and mobile assets.

  • Vehicle and mobile-unit network design
  • Secure routing, firewalling and traffic prioritisation
  • Onboard Wi-Fi for passengers, staff or operational users
  • Primary, backup or hybrid WAN architecture
  • Fleet-standard configuration across multiple vehicles or units
  • Remote troubleshooting and managed support
Rugged hardware options
Starlink Performance hardware is designed for demanding environments and permanent installations, including in-motion use where authorised.
AC / DC deployment
Power architecture can be designed around vehicle DC systems, site AC supply or backup-power requirements.
Fleet management
Starlink supports central monitoring and management of terminals across fleets; E-Cube can extend this with network and support visibility.
Secure remote operations
Segment operational, staff and passenger traffic while applying routing, firewall and bandwidth policies.
E-Cube mobility architecture

A complete mobile connectivity stack

Starlink Mobility

Compatible Starlink hardware and an eligible business mobility service plan.

Router & Security

MikroTik or enterprise routing, firewalling, QoS, failover and traffic controls.

Onboard / Field Wi-Fi

Ubiquiti or appropriate wireless coverage with user and operational segmentation.

Monitoring & Support

Fleet visibility, remote troubleshooting, incident support and managed operations.

Operational capabilities

Designed for distributed mobile assets

For organisations operating multiple vehicles or mobile units, the objective is a repeatable architecture that can be deployed, monitored and supported consistently.

Central fleet visibility
Standardise terminal, router and Wi-Fi configurations across mobile assets.
Traffic separation
Separate operational, passenger, guest and administrative traffic where required.
Hybrid connectivity
Combine Starlink with cellular or terrestrial links where operational resilience requires multiple paths.
Managed lifecycle support
Deployment records, configuration control, troubleshooting and support across the mobile estate.
Service planning

Confirm availability before designing the deployment

Land Mobility service, approved hardware and in-motion permissions vary by country and operating context. E-Cube will validate the available Starlink plan and deployment model before recommending an architecture.

For a mobility assessment, share the vehicle or unit type, operating area, number of assets, number of users, required Wi-Fi coverage, expected data usage, power arrangement and whether Starlink will be primary, backup or part of a hybrid design.
